Dutch National League Results

22 November 2007
The National Championships was held on the Bosbaan, a purpose built rowing course on the edge of Amsterdam with 11 experienced teams and 3 novice teams on 7 October. Conditions were cloudy, cool and calm. The Dutch Dragons dominated the day’s racing and came in first in all three race distances clocking 51.78 in the 200m final, 2.14.15 in the 500m final and 10.21.58 in the 2000m race. But that was all there was to be said for predictability for the day. Concrete took second in the 200m (52.96), Bush took second in the 500m (2.14.55) and Dynamic took second in the 2000m (10.43.91). For third place results old newcomers Gorinchem (made up of former members of several experienced Dutch teams) took both the 200m (53.27) and 500m (2.15.19) while United Dragons, with 10.47.59, took third in the 2000m.

Predictably, the Dutch Cup went to Dutch Dragons, the powerhouse team among the seven Dutch League teams, with 108 points in the League. After a tentative start early in the season Concrete Dragons, with 84 points, took second place in the League. Finally, after a strong start early in the season, United Dragons slipped behind and had to be content with sharing third place with Dynamic Dragons at 79 points.
